As a Cost Accountant at Kirk-Rudy, your general responsibilities will include:
Provide management with detailed analysis of production costs.
Manage standard cost in Syspro ERP System
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.
Prepare Journal Entries
Prepare account reconciliations.
Analyze manufacturing and purchase price variances.
Enter inventory adjustments.
Participate in cost improvement/reduction initiatives.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
Document internal accounting processes & procedures.
Ensure that company policies and procedures are followed.
Ad hoc reporting
Additionally, you will also be a key driver in the following special projects:
Assist with the implementation/upgrade of our Syspro ERP System
Assist with the review of engineering drawings & structuring of Bills of Materials (BOMs) for new and existing products.
Maintenance of BOMs in our ERP System
Assist with Production Time Studies
Assist with developing parts and machinery pricing structure to ensure we are maximizing margins / inventory turns
Oversee annual / periodic pricing updates
We are looking for the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
3+ Years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
Solid computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 suite of programs.
Solid understanding of US GAAP
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Effective written, verbal and interpersonal skills
The ability to multitask and work efficiently with shifting priorities to meet deadlines.
This is a full time, Monday - Friday role.
