The Estimating department is responsible for (a) the timely and accurate completion of proposals, proposal revisions, and pricing-related change orders, (b) the central control point for scope of work and margin management and (c) effective support/consultation with sales in the selling process.
The Estimator will work on-site from our Villa Rica, GA office.
Each Estimator within the Estimating Department shall prepare accurate, timely estimates and proposals.
In producing accurate and timely estimates, the Estimator will review plans and specifications, clarify conditions and requirements with customers, understand basic components of construction costs, prepare basic take offs, prepare standard limited lump sum proposals, and in certain circumstances follow up with the customer on status of proposal.
The Estimator will also be responsible for producing detailed drawings and material cut lists for Door and Hallway packages for Production, Installers and Project Managers.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Bachelor's Degree in business or construction sciences.
Work experience may be accepted in leu of degree.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a general contractor or subcontractor construction company.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating in the commercial construction, Metal Roofing & Structural Systems preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Knowledge of Commercial Roofing & Structural Systems (Metal Systems preferred)
Knowledge of construction business practices.
Knowledge of Storage Doors and Hallway Systems.
Familiarity with IBC and local building codes.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to learn and utilize technology (Building Design Programs, Google Earth, Microsoft CRM).
Ability to communicate at numerous levels internal and external to the company.
Excellence in oral and written communication in English.
