An experienced instrument / electrician with full completion of an apprentice program or compatible for our maintenance department.
This position consists of repairing and maintaining all production and facility equipment, new equipment installations, maintaining established preventative maintenance programs, instrument and electrical maintenance up to and including 480V systems with ARC Flash experience and or certification.
Schedule Monday - Friday 6am-2:30pm Primary Responsibilities Perform general maintenance work to maintain structures, electrical system, heating and air conditioning, plumbing etc.
Repair and maintain manufacturing machinery and equipment within the facility such as motors, pumps, agitators, controls, electrical equipment, air handlers, etc.
Repair and maintain non-manufacturing equipment.
Examine equipment to diagnose problems.
Responsible for adhering to all Good Manufacturing Practices GMP rules Will include work on special assignments or projects, able to take a concept from design to execution with minimal supervision.
Enters preventative maintenance and repair data into the SAP Maintenance Module Develops work instructions for preventative maintenance, repairs, calibrations, etc.
, Develops work instructions for maintenance task and may assist others developing work instructions that conform to ISO9001 Standard.
Attends safety, department, and other business meetings.
Must be able to work overtime if required including the possibility to be called in when necessary.
Insures compliance with Quality Systems.
Programming of PLCs, HMI’s, Yokogawa DCS Follows compliance with Arc Flash regulations Compliance with Lock out, Tag Out, and Try procedures Troubleshoot electrical panels and components.
Performs work in a safe manner, and is responsible for following all safety policies and procedures Resource management (i.
e.
vendors, contractors, SAP, Prism) Recommends and maintains all electrical equipment on site and works with Facility Technical Engineer and Purchaser on buying electrical supplies and components Minimum Qualifications Must have an high school diploma or GED, prefer Associate's degree (A.
A.
) or equivalent education from a two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience 5 + years of related experience in Electrical Field Must be able to work in a leadership role as part of a team.
Ability to read and interpret verbal and written documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, P&ID’s, Instrument loop diagrams Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to communicate effectively to Associates and contractors Successful problem solving skills involving concrete variables in standardized situations Knowledge with Outlook Knowledge in PLC, HMI, Yokogawa, and DCS, programming experience Ability to work overtime if required Manufacturing or Industrial experience Demonstrate an ability to read blueprints and electrical drawings.
Excellent knowledge of PLC software and hardware systems.
Demonstrate good understanding of PID controllers, temperature transmitters, air/liquid flow transmitters, frequency transmitters, pressure transmitters and other controls.
Demonstrate good knowledge of AC & DC variable speed drives.
Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with types of CMMS, preventive and predictive maintenance.
Associate degree in Industrial Electronics or 2 years Vocational Technical training with certification.
Certified to work on refrigeration equipment.
State Unrestricted Electrical License.
Strong mechanical and electrical backgrounds.
Computer experience.
Machining skills Physical Environment While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to stand.
The employee is frequently required to walk, climb stairs, use hands to remove or lift boxes, stretch and reach with arms extended, and stoop.
The employee must, regularly, lift and / or move up to 50 pounds, alone, and occasionally lift and / or move more than 100 pounds, with assistance.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
The salary for this role is $38-$40/hr.
