The ideal Maintenance Mechanic at Ole Mexican Foods, Inc.
, is responsible for the maintenance, installation, troubleshooting and modification of new and existing plant machinery and equipment.
This role will recommend and execute maintenance procedures and repairs.
The Maintenance Mechanic will be working with a positive and energetic maintenance team.
The role may involve additional responsibilities and opportunities as they become necessary and/or are assigned by management.
CORE JOB QUALIFICATIONS, EXPECTATION and RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment, machinery and facility.
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshoot and repair of Production machines.
Perform all task in accordance with environmental, health & safety standards, rules, regulations and practices of the facility
Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
Perform highly diversified duties to maintain Production lines running
Ability to effectively troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures or breakdowns
Respond to breakdowns with quick and efficient repairs with minimal downtime
Repair, and re-assemble gearboxes, fans, conveyors, blowers, compressors, pumps, valves, furnaces, drives and other components of mechanical equipment
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
Promote safety in the workplace by understanding and complying with safety procedures and reporting all accidents in a timely manner
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Able to complete paperwork accurately, legibly and on time
Ability to work with little supervision
Work in a fast-paced environment
Perform other duties as assigned or needed
REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or GED
Industrial electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills required
Strong communications skills
Strong mechanical skills required
Reliable transportation to and from work
Bilingual English/Spanish
Industrial Maintenance Experience: 3 years
Manufacturing Experience: 3 years
WORKING & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Assist other mechanics when performing heavy jobs
Lift, carry and push equipment
Reach, bend and twist and/or turn in awkward positions
Ability to wear personal protective equipment and/or clothing
Stand and/or walk 10 or more hours per day
Frequently squat, bend, reach, twist, turn, grip, grasp, and climb
Occasionally kneel and/or crawl
Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
