*OSP/ISP Construction Manager Position* *Summary*
The OSP/ISP Construction Manager (OSP/ISP CM) is responsible for all functions and responsibilities that are associated with the pre-construction and construction phases of an overall project relating to installation of Fiber Optic Networks.
The OSP/ISP CM is responsible for consistently meeting and/or exceeding pre-construction and construction due dates, providing a quality end product and consistently meeting and/or exceeding safety objectives.
The overall OSP/ISP CM goals are to deliver projects on-time and in-compliance with all build quality and safety standards.
*Experience/Minimum Requirements*
* Minimum 10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry as a Construction Manager with a background in OSP/ISP and fiber optics *(required)*
* Experienced with directional bore/trenched construction applications in CBD, dense urban and urban environments; with extensive knowledge of existing underground utilities and damage avoidance practices *(required)*
* Experience with FOC underground installation in conduit; blown and mechanically pulled
* Familiarity with aerial FOC installation procedures and a general knowledge of NESC codes as relates to aerial telecommunications facilities *(required)*
* Valid Driver’s License *(required)*
* Clean Driver's Record (Past 5 years) *(required)*
* Pass a Background Check and Drug Test *(required)*
* Proficient understanding and execution of OSP/ISP construction drawings and permits *(required)*
* Computer skills with basic understanding of and experience with common computer programs; Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.

* Working knowledge and/or subject matter expertise relating to construction equipment/capabilities, traffic control requirements, rights-of-ways, typical industry safety requirements/expectations, etc.

*Essential Job Functions*
* Manage the pre-construction and construction phases of the OSP/ISP project, deliver on time and within quality and safety standards
* Manage third-party pre-construction and construction suppliers
* Manage multiple construction crews and subcontractors- with support from neXtier construction inspectors that report directly and independently to neXtier’s Implementation Manager
* Participate in project meetings and effectively support the overall project effort
* Inspect and assure construction work quality and crew safety– with support from neXtier construction inspectors that report directly and independently to neXtier’s Implementation Manager
* Facilitate and/or support the documentation and recording of construction field changes.
