Overview
The Supervisor will manage the resources allocated to this position on a daily basis, giving direct supervision to the assigned team members.
Candidate will organize work, schedule work with customers, act as a contact for projects and work assigned to the team.
Managed daily schedules, acquire/order equipment, critical spares and maintain inventory for the work force.
Candidate will be a working member of the team, providing mentoring and hands on assistance.
Candidate will coordinate preventive maintenance and repair efforts, relieve subordinate line staff as required, maintain required regulatory documentation, etc.
This position will likewise provide insight and assistance in preparing annual and probationary evaluations.
Position will also provide training for subordinates, new hires and will be responsible for supportive documentation.
Candidate will provide insight and assistance with Operational and Capital Budgets.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilites and Essential Functions
Daily Duties
* Provides oversight for purchase order submission, time and attendance and manpower utilization.
* Provides staff schedules, evaluations and assign duties for effective use of time.
* Ensure supplies, materials and tools are available for use by staff as required to ensure continuity of work effort.
* Ensure mechanics are performing tasks in a timely professional manner.
Also conduct periodic building walk throughs to ensure staff and resources are being used efficiently.
* Train mechanics in all phases of maintenance and repair of building fixtures and equipment.
Preventative Maintenance.
* Ensures all building services are fully functional.
* Ensure repairs are completed with a minimum of downtime and of the highest quality.
* Coordinate with management on any repair status and estimated downtime.
* Manage computerized maintenance management system.
* Use lock out procedures when necessary.
* Ensure any work on equipment is performed in a safe manner.
* Does not undertake any task he/she is not qualified to do.
Miscellaneous Duties
* Ensure all documentation for repairs and or installation of new equipment is kept on file for easy access.
* Solicit bids to ensure competitive pricing from manufactures, suppliers, and contractors as needed for parts and other purchases.
* Coordinate and Oversee all repairs and installation of new equipment.

Qualifications
Required Minimum Education
Some high school Required or
equivalent.
Required and
Trade school training in any Facilities Engineering discipline or equivalent military training.
Required
Required Minimum Experience
Minimum 5 years experience in Facilities Engineering, preferably in a healthcare environment Required and
Minimum 2 years as a supervisor or foreman of Engineering staff.

Required Minimum Skills
Must have maintenance and repair skills related to a Facility Engineering discipline, have general mechanical skills, understanding of the safe use of power and hand tools.
Must have understanding of applicable codes and JCAHO survey standards, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, basic business communication skills.
Must have understanding of supervisory expectations.
