Construction Project Administrator Full-service Atlanta based general contractor seeks a Construction Project Administrator.
The Project Administrator assists and supports the Project Management team in performing administrative functions such as assisting in transmitting of documents to/from Client/Subs/Suppliers/etc, monthly billings, assisting in subcontractor & supplier billings/invoices, assisting in job-site employee on-boarding & off-boarding, and other tasks as assigned by the Project Manager.
Our client portfolio includes higher education task orders, historic restorations, multi-family, senior living, municipal facilities, tenant build outs, and community amenities.
Job Responsibilities: Processes and tracks Submittals to owner, contact subs for items to be submitted Processes and tracks formal correspondence with Clients and Subcontractors Create and Process Subcontracts Assist Contract Administrators and Project Engineers with job-site compliance tracking Create Purchase Orders Process and Code all invoices for payment Create Subcontractor Monthly pay apps Update PlanGrid or other electronic file hosting services Request for information, follow up with owner response to sub requesting information Cost out all Extra Work Orders, and work with owner for agreed payments Review Pay Estimate for accuracy Track training hours monthly and report to the owner for payment Track all materials purchases and services for the project Order supplies for job office and project Order materials Assists with inventory maintenance of PPE on site Create job site binders Daily quantity review & approval Job Requirements: Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills Reading and understanding building plans, contracts, regulations and specs (preferred) Must have meticulous attention to detail to ensure data quality standards Must be able to maintain calendars and databases Ability to multitask, prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced work environment Able to work independently Must have professional approach and conduct An appetite for learning, and the ability to improve existing processes through new ideas and innovations Determination and persistence to overcome obstacles to find solutions and get results Flexibility – you work well under pressure and adapt quickly to different situations and demands Perspective and a positive attitude A sense of humor Ideal Candidates will have: High School Diploma - an industry related college degree is preferred Experience working as a Project Administrator in the construction industry Excellent computer skills and proficiency in MS Office required Knowledge of construction basics, practices, and procedures
