The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of industrial refrigeration systems; Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly and efficiently; Ensure that all safety and environmental regulations are followed.
Position Title: Refrigeration Systems Engineer Reports to: Engineering Manager Wage: $100,000 - $125,000 DOE Travel: Possibility of occasional Domestic and International travel Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt No relocation package available for this position.
Summary/Objective: The Refrigeration Systems Engineering position is a part of a multidisciplinary team who can integrate all the disciplines and specialty groups into a team effort forming a structured development process that proceeds from concept to production to operation.
The Refrigeration Engineer is expected to have an active-oriented mindset and a focus on exceeding expectations, while operating with vision and integrity.
This experienced Refrigeration Systems Engineer can expect to play an active role in the development and completion of projects, meet and report back to upper management, plan and monitor work schedules and cash flows, and work with multiple and diverse teams.
Some of the responsibilities will also include aligning engineering activities and projects with company goals and objectives, providing expert guidance and support, approving newly developed policies from various departments, and maintaining positive relationships.
The Refrigeration Systems Engineer is proficient in ensuring design, calculations and specifications are accurate while maintaining job reporting functions of the corporation in accordance with industry standards, regulatory agencies, and company objectives and policies.
The Refrigeration Systems Engineer should have exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills, years of design experience, and a belief in developing the skills and talents of others.
The Refrigeration Systems Engineer is responsible for representing Cool Runnings International (CRI), the customers and the contracted labors on virtually any range of subjects related to the project and for making solid, informational based decisions on behalf of CRI.
Essential Functions: 1.

Collaborate in planning, budgeting, and control of operating and capital expenditures, supporting company economic health.

Collaborate with team members to ensure in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve complex and quality results and end products.

Implementing best practice engineering methods.
8.
Provide technical guidance to the design team, executive and upper management.
9.
Support established organizational objectives by developing goals and strategies.
10.
Proficient in writing reports, making effective and persuasive presentations for budgets, plans or other topics to upper Management, employees, and clients with ability to follow through with action plan.
13.
Support staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, and appraising.
14.
Perform engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives and involve conventional types of plans and specifications.
15.
Create and Perform on-going conceptual and detailed design, review and engineering analysis.
16.
Design or redesign complex layouts and drawings from general written or verbal specifications from team project team.
17.
Efficiently and effectively answer written and oral technical inquiries relating to engineering scope.
18.
Utilize knowledge of various products, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
19.
Determine and maintain scheduling of different phases of mechanical engineering services based on established deadlines.
20.
Handle high-pressure situations and de-escalations with positive outcomes in internal and external customer service roles.
21.
Develop a proactive and entrepreneurial environment that spotlights analytics, employee performance, teamwork, and accountability while inspiring exceptional work.

Create daily update and progress reports and update CRI Project Management Online Tool.
23.
Keep up to date specialized license(s) as it relates to the required expertise/trade and company needs.
24.
Collaborate with the Regional Project Manager to evaluate project needs, performance, and to recommend refinements and improvements.
25.
Excellent working knowledge of various energy management systems, cold storage, and refrigeration products.
26.
Knowledge of electrical installation and practices.
27.
Enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve overall operations and effectiveness of projects.
28.
Develop and maintain excellent professional relations with customers, employees, and contractors.
