Position Description: POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Trainable and Moldable Entry Level Safety Supervisor who is enthusiastic about learning and developing a long-term career in the field of safety.
The ideal candidate will have completed OSHA 30 or OSHA 510 certification and be excited to oversee in-house and subcontractor crews, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
This role involves performing safety observations, reporting incidents, and utilizing safety inspection apps to record day-to-day safety measures.
The Safety Supervisor will also be responsible for conducting safety meetings to educate and empower team members.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Safety Oversight:
Monitor and ensure the safety of in-house and subcontractor crews by conducting regular safety observations and audits, identifying potential hazards, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Incident Reporting:
Promptly report and document safety incidents, accidents, near misses, and hazards according to established protocols.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address and rectify safety concerns.
Safety Inspection App:
Utilize the designated Safety Inspection app to record and track daily safety measures, inspections, and compliance checks.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
Safety Meetings:
Plan and conduct safety meetings to educate employees about safety protocols, best practices, and relevant regulations.
Encourage a culture of safety awareness and engagement.
Training and Development:
Actively participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your knowledge of safety regulations, industry trends, and best practices.
Long-Term Career Development:

Collaboration:

Travel is required to fulfill the duties of the role (25%)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma
OSHA 30 Certification and/or OSHA 510 required
Valid Drivers License
Ability to drive at minimum 50 miles per day
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Bilingual in Spanish and English
Experience working in the Fiber industry, especially with Lineman employees
Certified Safety Professional (CSP and/or CUSP) Certified Utility Safety Professional status
