SUMMARY This is an opportunity to join a growing, dynamic and responsible company that fosters the development of our employees.
We are seeking a Fire Sprinkler Superintendent.
Position will be based in Canton, GA and the role is eligible for relocation assistance.
In this role, you will dispatch from a home office and will oversee all aspects of the installation of sprinkler systems and are critical to the quality work and customer service ORR is known for.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES All team members must embody the company mission to provide protection for people, property, and the environment in all aspects of their job.
Ensure through quality control walks, coordination, and communication with General Contractors, Project Manager, Authorities, Subcontractors, and all other affiliates that all installations of fire sprinkler systems are performed according to ORR work instructions and applicable codes.
Take a lead role at customer sites, providing oversight and direction to ORR technicians or sub-contractors.
Work with the Project Manager and Project Administrator to keep the customer and all project affiliates informed on job progress Procurement of materials and tools needed to complete project installation.
Complete all necessary job-related paperwork for compliance and documentation.
Respond to emergency service requests and take appropriate action.
Perform in depth troubleshooting, repair and replacement of system equipment.
Conduct training with customers on the functionality of the fire sprinkler system.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent, required.
10 years’ experience in service and/or installation of Fire Sprinkler systems, required.
Extensive Experience reading blueprints, required.
Extensive knowledge in installation and testing of Wet, Dry, and Preaction Fire Sprinkler systems, Fire Pumps and Standpipes required.
NICET certification in fire sprinkler, preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Understanding the basics of the products and services in the fire sprinkler industry Knowledge of Google Suite or Microsoft and standard internet usage.
Strong time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Organized and detail-oriented.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Self-directed with the ability to work autonomously.
Ability to lead a team effectively.
Demonstrated customer service mindset.
Ability to proactively manage multiple projects.
Work Environment/Physical Demands This is a remote position that would be deployed from the associate’s home to local job sites.
Company vehicle, tools, technology, and equipment provided.
Occasional on-call days and/or overtime required for unscheduled service needs.
Job duties require the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
