The Advance Planning Group (APG) within Jacobs is a premier provider of facility planning/programming and consulting services to a variety of government, institutional, military, and corporate clients.
These services include feasibility studies, project development studies, design guidelines, facility master plans, workplace strategies, visioning sessions, portfolio strategies, and real estate advisory services meant to enhance our clients’ business efficiencies.
APG includes professionals within three specific service lines - Facility Strategies, Urban Design and Planning, and Visual Media.
The APG team includes facility programmers, architects, interior designers, engineers, business analysts, workplace strategists, planners, landscape architects, graphic designers, and other related disciplines.
This role will be supporting Facility Strategists in doing the following:
Collecting and analyzing data to support project preparation, analysis, and assimilation.
Supporting project planning/design deliverables and graphic production.
Interacting with the project team and client to communicate results of analysis.
Developing content for written reports, graphics and exhibits for presentations, and preparing materials for oral presentation.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Planning, Business, or related field.
Computer skills: MS Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Adobe Creative Suite-InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and AutoCAD.
At least 2 years’ experience in architecture, architectural consulting, or related field.
Demonstrated ability to understand and analyze complex problems and abstract information while developing client driven strategies supported by high-quality written and graphic deliverables.
Candidate should express interest and skills in working with and manipulating large data sets using MS Excel and other tools.
The position is much more analytical in nature than design-oriented.
Candidate will be expected to work in a virtual hybrid environment, with approximately two days per week at the Atlanta office for team meetings and other collaboration.
Candidate will be expected to travel to fulfill this position.
Travel is usually a couple of days up to one week at a time, with some instances of two weeks at a time for international destinations.
