Job Title: Construction Compliance Lead ***Work Location: Atlanta, GA *** Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview Duties/Responsibilities: Assists the PCE in tracking the status of engineering NCRs or confirming the Developer’s completion of corrective actions associated with NCR related to Construction items.
Administer and participate in Product and Process Audits to verify Developer’s adherence to the CQMP and DBF Documents.
Verifies the CQMP is being updated on an annual basis as needed per the contract requirements.
Audits/Assists with auditing of OVF after adherence to (and effectiveness of) the OVF’s OVTIP.
Participate in audit follow-up meetings to review draft external audit reports.
Assists the Construction OV Manager and Chief Field Engineer’s oversight of the Construction OV staff by monitoring and verifying specified PLI and OVTIP procedures are being adhered.
Trains staff, and develops, implements, and revises the OVTIP.
Works with the CBL and PCE on modification or new processes to correct PMT performance, identify training or additional support that may be necessary, and to suggest updates to the PLI or OVTIP as the Project progresses.
As needed, assists the PCE in preparing the construction section of the PMT quarterly audit Attend IQF Quality Meetings.
Audit the PMT against the Post-Let Instructions for construction.
Receives, reviews, and monitors implementation of Developer CARs to close open NCRs.
Verifies OVF adherence of OVF’s OVTIP through periodical daily observation, reports assessment, Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management 10+ years’ experience in compliance lead – construction role and/or construction management Extensive experience in construction, with a significant focus on compliance in transportation or infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with GDOT projects and procedures is highly desirable.
Thorough understanding of the Federal, State, and Local regulations applicable to construction projects, including environmental, safety, and construction standards.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal and technical documents and apply them to practical construction scenarios.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively convey compliance requirements to a diverse range of stakeholders.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
