*Job Description:* We are currently seeking an experienced Low Voltage Technician with a strong work ethic rooted in professionalism and a desire for steady growth within the company.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in installing maglocks and cutting in door strikes in various commercial and residential settings.
*Responsibilities:* * Installing low voltage systems such as security alarms, access control systems, CCTV cameras, intercoms, and networking equipment according to specifications and blueprints.
* Performing routine maintenance and inspections on low voltage systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and efficiently.
This includes testing components, cleaning equipment, and replacing parts as needed.
* Diagnosing and resolving issues with low voltage systems, including identifying faulty components, troubleshooting wiring problems, and resolving connectivity issues.
* Repairing or replacing damaged or malfunctioning components of low voltage systems, such as wiring, circuit boards, sensors, and control panels.
* Programming and configuring low voltage systems to meet the specific needs and requirements of clients, including setting up user access controls, configuring network settings, and adjusting system parameters.
* Maintaining accurate records of installations, repairs, maintenance activities, and system configurations.
This includes documenting equipment serial numbers, warranty information, and any modifications made to the systems.
* Providing excellent customer service to clients by addressing their questions, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
This may involve explaining system operation, providing technical support, and offering guidance on system usage.
* Adhering to safety protocols and regulations while working with low voltage systems to ensure the safety of yourself, your colleagues, and the clients.
This includes following proper wiring practices, using appropriate personal protective equipment, and observing electrical safety guidelines.
* Providing training and instruction to clients and end-users on how to use and maintain low voltage systems effectively.
This may involve conducting onsite demonstrations, creating user manuals, and offering technical support services.
* Staying up-to-date with advancements in low voltage technology, industry standards, and best practices through ongoing training and professional development activities.
This includes attending workshops, seminars, and certification programs relevant to the field.
