Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required specifications using hand and power tools
- Assemble and install pipes and fittings for various plumbing systems, including water, gas, and drainage
- Install and maintain HVAC systems, including ductwork and refrigerant lines
- Test piping systems for leaks using pressure gauges and other testing equipment
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and carpenters, to complete projects
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to building codes standards
Experience:
- Proven experience as a pipefitter or in a similar role
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques and tools
- Ability to accurately measure and use tools such as calipers for precise pipe cutting and fitting
- Experience with tube bending techniques
- Knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus
- Ability to maintain, assemble, plumb, build, and rig various types of piping systems
