Responsible for selling complex scientific and technological products or services to businesses.
Key Responsibilities • Prepares and delivers technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers.
• Confers with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements.
• Collaborates with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support.
• Secures and renews orders and arrange delivery.
• Plans and modifies products to meet customer needs.
• Helps clients solve problems with installed equipment.
• Recommends improved materials or machinery to customers, shows how changes will lower costs or increase production.
• Helps in researching and developing new products.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise • Strong understanding of how to create highly satisfied customer • Firm commitment to excellence and high standards • Excellent verbal and written communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively • Interpersonal savvy; able to collaborate and work closely with other departments and leadership • Excellent analytical, problem solving, process analysis, and improving business practice skills • Good judgement skills with the ability to make timely and sound decisions • Strong presentation skills • Outstanding time-management skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while meeting deadlines • Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to prioritize duties and responsibilities • Self-motivated, resourceful and adaptable; able to work independently within team focused environment • Effective sales competency • Technical aptitude with air compression and rotating equipment preferred • Knowledge of technical products, rotating equipment, air compression products and their applications • Knowledge of industrial distribution models or multi step distribution preferred • Advocates a safety-first attitude in all aspects of position • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 software; SAP experience preferred About FS-Curtis The FS-Curtis brand is a symbol of quality and excellence in design and manufacturing of air compressors.
