Summary:
Position is responsible for the daily oversight and maintenance of the EMS fleet.
Assures adequate servicing of all Fleet and fleet related systems.
Maintains working relationships with all vendors and insure from time-to-time best pricing and quality of work is being achieved.
Ensures all fleet-related policies and procedures are followed to include compliance with all Safety and Risk directives.
Employees hired into this position are subject to a six-month introductory probationary period.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Supervises day-to-day maintenance fleet operations.
· Ensures all Preventative Maintenance programs are followed.
· Serves as liaison for the company with all outside vendors.
· Point person installation of all Camera Safety Systems
· Prepares appropriate reports in the absence of senior management involving mechanical breakdowns, or out of service events.
· On-site for State Inspections
· Responsible for mounting, securing, or adapting any mounts or devices that are permanently adhered to fleet.
· Ordering of replacement fleet parts to include lights, hubcaps, lenses, etc.
· Developing methods and schedules for fleet maintenance
· Responsibly handling emergency situations or after-hours calls for repair and maintenance
· Taking part in developing maintenance policies and standards for an organization
· Available for minor roadside assistance
Minimum Operations Supervisor Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED
· Ability to identify issues and decide on required actions.
· Competence to plan maintenance schedules
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Excellent interpersonal and delegation skills
· Ability to analyze and solve problems.
· Competency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
· Critical thinking skills
· Dexterity and physical stamina
Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
· Knowledge of methods and techniques for minor mechanical truck conversion issue.
· Knowledge of minor electrical repairs and trouble shooting
· Installation of batteries
· Installation of electrical inverters
· Knowledge of minor O2 and O2 line/leak repairs
· Knowledge of light AC work is a plus.
· Replacement of headlights, turn signals, and break lights.
· Demonstrated skills in the successful completion of multiple, simultaneous and rapidly emergent tasks.
· Demonstrated ability to read and understand medical terminology.
· Demonstrated ability to write reports, and correspondence.
· Demonstrated ability to effectively present information and respond to questions regarding fleet maintenance for operations and other customer service issues.
· Demonstrated ability to represent AmeriPro EMS and other team members as an EMS professional.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to stand and walk.
The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, stand, or balance.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 180 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 300 pounds with assistance from others.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Working Environment:
Due to the nature of EMS Care working conditions, employees may be exposed to inclement weather, potential hazardous conditions, psychological stressors, diseases and other illnesses.
Frequent interruptions, work pressure, difficult personalities and irregularities in work schedule are expected.
Employee is subject to continually changing deadlines, while performing the duties of this job.
The employee will be occasionally required to attend meetings, some of which may take place outside of regular working hours.
The employee will occasionally go for periods of time without sleep, food, or breaks as determined by call load.
