GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To support the vision, mission and guiding principles of the City.
While performing any procedure, all associates and contract personnel must observe applicable Safety, Health, and Environmental rules and guidelines.
The use of appropriate personal protective equipment is required.
Attend and participate in training opportunities and seminars relevant to this position.
Adhere to appropriate City operating procedures, benefit rules, employment, and safety policies/practices.
Under direction, performs administrative duties in the City’s Public Services Department, including filing documents, answering phones, maintaining calendars, travel arrangements, scanning documents, assisting internal and external customers, updating business information, reviewing reports, preparing minutes, and organizing files and performs related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversees front end Serve as lead Technician for Accounts Receivable including but not limited to Licenses, Taxes, and Utilities Assist with generating Monthly Billings for Utilities Coordinate with meter readers to monitor daily progress of meter reading to ensure timely billing Verify Daily Deposit for Accounting Technician I & II Assist with billing of utilities and Account receivables Assist with website maintenance; Serves as backup for Accounting Technician II Create and maintain various accounting sub ledgers and spreadsheets Perform account reconciliations Composes, proofreads, and types correspondence, memoranda, reports, and presentations Assist in month and year end closing process Customer Service, heavy telephones, and data entry Prepare and maintain forms and letters Run errands within the department as needed Process and maintain monthly resolution cut off packet Reconcile and submit all monthly division invoices End of day count down for Accounting Techs I & II Process and maintain bankruptcy documents Assisting Accounting Tech II with training new staff Process and maintain filing system of property tax upload payments Manage and address any escalated sanitation and/or dispute issues Maintain and monitor storm water process Assist with replacement meter installations ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Any other duties as assigned.
