FACILITIES USE COORDINATOR GEORGIA STATE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF LAW ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES Part of one of the Southeast’s largest comprehensive research universities, Georgia State Law is a dynamic urban centered law school located in the heart of Atlanta with approximately 650 full-time and part-time students.

Reporting to the College Facilities and Events Officer, the Facilities Use Coordinator functions as the College’s facility operations manager, ensuring the availability of resources required in supporting events, activities, and programs central to the mission of the College.
This position coordinates the implementation of renovation, maintenance, and repair of office facilities and equipment in the College of Law.
Essential duties of this position include but are not limited to: Assists the College Facilities and Events Officer with planning and policy development for facilities use within the College of Law.
Makes recommendations for effective facilities use and maintenance.
Serves as liaison between the College of Law and University facilities management department on projects and events.
Responsible for logistical coordination and direction in facility setups for College-wide programs and special events.
Works closely with Conference Center and Development teams and other departmental event coordinators to ensure that facility needs are met.
Serves as a liaison with other University facility coordinators as it relates to College of Law events.
Manages equipment inventory.
Coordinates the ordering, installation, and repair of equipment.
Coordinates the removal of old or obsolete materials.
Inspects, coordinates and monitors progress of building maintenance work orders.
Coordinates departmental and office relocations and other furniture and equipment moves.
Maintains networked and free-standing printers and copiers.
Purchases and installs toner and operating equipment.
Manages equipment supply inventory.
Ensures overall comfort and cleanliness of facility for College of Law employees and guests.
Addresses and resolves customer-related facility issues.
Routinely inspects facility and troubleshoots facility issues.
Oversees scheduling of preventive equipment maintenance for specialized equipment including water fountains, water/ice machines, duress buttons, security cameras, student lockers, and filing equipment.
Coordinates facilities-related purchasing and procurement.
Manages, installs/repairs equipment and furniture.
Oversees access to loading area, parking, and access to equipment space.
Acts as a liaison for private security and University police at high-profile events.
Serves as departmental records retention manager.
Manages the storage of archived files and final exams.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Standard work hours for this position are M-F, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Alternate scheduling may be required to support College events.
Applicants should have the ability to lift 50lbs.

Qualifications: Minimum Hiring Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications: Knowledge in interpreting and evaluating facilities maintenance policies and procedures.
Ability to follow departmental floor plans and general facility schematics.
Familiarity with project scheduling systems.
Ability to multi-task, coordinate several projects, and perform activities such as moving and lifting.
Effective time management, customer service, and organizational skills.
Effective communication with external and internal constituents.
