Quality Control Technician

*Job description* *Department*: Quality Control Technician *\*\*Candidates must live within 45 minutes of Canton, GA.
\*\** *Responsibilities:* * Perform routine QC analysis for incoming raw materials and finished goods.
* Assist Plant with “Rework” classification and organization.
* Maintain laboratory cleanliness.
* Assist Manufacturing with formulation additions as required by the batch sheets.
* Adjust non-conforming material in production schedule to bring into compliance.
* Maintain all lab and quality equipment in working order – scales, instruments, glassware, etc.
* Assist Sales department with sample requests.
* Assist R&D Chemists with research projects, formulations, and tests.
\* *Accountability:* * *Reports directly to Senior Chemist and indirectly to R & D Director.
* * Job contributes to quality of customer products and timeliness of finished good shipping.
\* *Qualifications:* * *Bachelor of Science (preferred, but not required.
)* * *Excellent technical and personal communication skills.
* * *Excellent time management skills.
* Requirements:\*\* * *Ability to learn new techniques and methods in fast-paced work environment.
* * *Ability to prioritize.
* * Must perform and understand safe laboratory practices.
* *Work set schedule (Mon.
-Fri.
) unless unable due to illness or vacation.
Longer hours are occasionally necessary according to production schedule.
* * Must be able to understand SDS and other safety information.
* Ability to fill out forms correctly and perform difficult mathematical problems.
