This position requires the critical thinking skills to work closely with the electrical engineers and mechanical assembly to create a fully wired and tested system according to customer specs prior to leaving the facility.
To do this requires knowledge in the ability to read and interpret schematic drawings and make suggestions or redlines as necessary.
Understand the National Electric Code and use that knowledge in the implementation if electrical install using hand and electric benders, installation of raceways – rigid, flex, etc using relevant and accepted trade tools.
Able to install electrical components, pull wire and cable, make proper connections, then testing the electrical system fully to ensure system runs as intended.
* Preferred but not required: knowledge of hazardous area wiring requirements, work with up to 480VAC, specialty industrial equipment such as PLC controls, VFD drives.
* Is able to work both independent and within a team environment.
Has good communication skills both within the internal company team as well as customer facing during FAT (factory Acceptance testing) or if onsite commissioning support required.
Maintains a neat, organized and safe work environment.
Is able to provide direction to apprentice electrician(s).
