Position Objective:
The Business Analyst - Global Sales and Marketing will support the sales and operational planning and analysis for all global geographies, channels, and products for our monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts as well as our strategic plan.
This includes working with the cross functional participants for all commercial planning processes (full P&L for revenues, pricing, unit volume, operational expenses, headcount, capex, etc.
).
They will work to deliver robust forecasts while helping to continuously improve processes designed to further performance and improve forecast accuracy by leveraging historical and forward-looking data.
This position could pose a unique challenge to someone looking to step out of financial closing and into a strategic role that impacts our business in a big way.
They will also play an important role within the newly innovated Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process in driving maturity.
The ideal candidate will have a go-getter personality with the ability to handle a dynamic and fast-moving environment with ad-hoc as well as recurring deliverables and KPI targets.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a true business partner for global sales and marketing on any items that can impact our financial statements
Conduct weekly/monthly planning calls with internal customers to review sales data, forecasts, and variance to plan; documenting variances and making strategic suggestions on how to improve forecast accuracy by analyzing trends and applying commercial feedback
Utilize information from details from these calls and analyses to update forecasted revenues, units, and prices
Facilitate cross-functional demand alignment meetings with sales, operations, and finance
Upside and downside range planning for revenues quarterly and yearly (ad-hoc)
Identify actionable insights, exercise sound business judgment, suggest recommendations and influence the direction of business by effectively working with and communicating results to sales and cross-functional leaders
Proactively identify and implement operational improvements, enhancements, and system customizations for manual and tech-enabled functionalities.
Assist in providing strategic business partnerships to the Finance, Operations, Quality, Commercial Sales, Marketing, and Medical Education teams through our P&L forecasting and strategic planning processes
Provide ad-hoc analysis and financial support (modeling, dashboard creation, variance analysis, as well as inventory related analysis and modeling).
Assist with the preparation of routine executive presentations (monthly review meetings with sales managers, Quarterly Business Reviews, and various Strategy presentations).
Qualifications:
2-4 years of accounting, finance, supply chain, and/or Financial Planning experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, supply chain management, or economics
Excellent Excel skills with ability to handle large data sets
Data and analytics / data modeling skills
Desire and ability to compile and communicate large amounts of data and share it to interested parties in a practical, applicable, and understandable manner
Demonstrates the highest level of ethics and integrity
Experience working in Workday Adaptive Planning, OfficeConnect, or Qlik Sense preferred
Audit background preferred
MBA Preferred
