A new division, of an established aerospace company, is looking to add a motivated scheduling engineer.
The position will require the person to be hands-on and spend extensive time on the manufacturing floor while establishing our material planning department.
The engineer will also have support from the two established divisions.
The position is classified as full-time, Exempt.
Typical days and hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 5PM.
This position may require occasional long hours and weekend work.
*Primary Responsibilities*:
· Manage and own the master schedule for the entire facility
· Collaborate with planning, engineering, production control, sales, and quality to develop meaningful and impactful schedules in line with financial goals
· Serve as liaison between OSP, planning, and production in coordination of work order flow
· Drive schedule adherence through regularly monitoring schedule performance and working with operations to develop recovery plans
· Maintain and provide historical data for schedules, breakthroughs, metrics, charts, and identified issues
· Ensure adequate dispatching of work order and material
· Analyze risk of schedule delays and proactively manage the risk to minimize disruption to operational plans
· Develop and manage an alternative work center matrix to allow for flexibility in scheduling work orders
· Communicate schedule status and work order updates to leadership in a timely manner
· Drive accountability and ownership through appropriate process owners towards common objective of on time delivery and schedule attainment
· Basic understanding of manufacturing methods and engineering data (blueprints, BOM’s, routers, etc.
)
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in supply chain or engineering
· Minimum 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience working as a master scheduler
· Proven experience developing effective and successful manufacturing schedules
· Ability to analyze and interpret a large amount of data
· Ability to analyze technical data and translate into actionable tasks
· High level understanding of ERP data and data governance
· Advanced Excel skills

Pay: $50,000.
