Border and Square is a picture framing shop expanding into Atlanta and we are looking to build a new team of skilled and highly-responsible full/part-time workers! We are partnered with Pressed Floral, a major pressed flower company in the nation and we provide them with high-quality handmade frames.
Job description:
-production of frames in raw and finished woods (~100 frames weekly)
-cutting picture frame glass
-cutting foam board and mats
-basic work on a table saw
-staining, shellacking, and basic wood finishing
Critical attributes to have:
-highly responsible and self-driven
-fast and efficient worker
-able to follow and maintain detailed, specific instructions
-a close eye for detail
We provide comprehensive training working with specialized machinery for picture framing (Double mitre saw, Underpinner, Mat cutters, strap clamps, etc) so prior wood skills are not critical to have.
We train well, pay our employees well, and strive to make work safe and pleasant.
This position has great potential for growth as we continue to increase offerings and services in the shop.
