We’re looking for a Locating Supervisor, based out of Alpharetta, GA, to join our team and help connect America.
What you'll do: Promotes and maintains a strong safety culture for all employees.
Conduct daily and weekly planning meetings to ensure quality control is in place.
Conduct audits on field personnel to ensure quality standards are being met.
Conducts performance reviews and provides regular performance feedback and development opportunities for technicians Create and maintain good working relationships with clients, excavators, regulators, employees, and the public Assist Center Manager in identifying strengths and weaknesses of Damage Prevention Technicians.
Assist Technicians with locating difficult to find utilities.
Collaborate with the HR and Talent Acquisition Team to identify staffing needs, interview and make final hiring decisions.
Operate company vehicles in a safe manner and maintain a professional appearance Validates and approves daily personnel time reports Develops, mentors and evaluates technicians and has the overall responsibility for employee engagement and morale.
Complete JSO’s (Job Safety Observations) of technicians Ticket production and weekend work required, as needed.
Completes other duties, as needed Qualifications: Who we are looking for: High School Diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred One (1) or more years of experience in leadership or related experience is preferred.
Six (6) or more months of utility locating experience required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Suite and Gmail with the ability to learn new systems and software related to the role.
Apply critical thinking skills to understand problems, analyze facts and anticipate results to make decisions based on available information and meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals at all levels and areas within the organization Ability to be flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment Proficient in the use of hand tools and equipment.
(shovels, screw drivers, wrenches, and ped keys etc.
) Ability to carry 3-5 lb electronic locating equipment for extended periods of time; lifting objects up to 50 pounds or lifting in excess of 50 lbs with tool aids.
