*Job Description:*
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Estimator to join our team specializing in underground drainage, painting projects and other exterior solutions.
As an Assistant Estimator, you will work closely with our senior estimators to prepare accurate and competitive bids for various home improvement projects.
Your primary responsibilities will include conducting site visits, analyzing project requirements, gathering relevant data, and collaborating with team members to develop cost estimates and proposals.
*Responsibilities:*
* Assist in reviewing project specifications, drawings, and other documents to understand project requirements.
* Conduct site visits to assess project scope, conditions, and potential challenges.
* Gather and analyze data necessary for estimating costs, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor quotes.
* Collaborate with senior estimators and project managers to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates.
* Assist in the preparation of bid proposals, including organizing and formatting documents.
* Maintain organized records of project estimates and related documents.
* Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and construction methods.
*Requirements:*
* Previous experience in construction estimating or a related field is an asset.
* Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites within Metro Atlanta as needed.
