Who we are looking for: We are currently seeking talent for a Corporate Controls Engineer job at our Roswell, GA location.
Reporting into the Automation Engineering Manager, this position will perform a variety of engineering activities in support of manufacturing automation equipment, including machine controls (PLC/HMI), SCADA, automation software, machine vision, debug & testing, validating, troubleshooting, process improvements, etc.
This is an opportunity to drive results by leading cross-functional efforts across multiple product lines.

What You’ll Do: Provide Automation Engineering in the specification, design, development, installation, commissioning, and validation of process control systems for capital projects of significant scope and complexity Designing and implementing process control strategies to support new and existing processes to include process efficiency improvements and optimization, process variability reduction, compliance with environmental and safety requirements and equipment/process reliability Provide site operational support for troubleshooting, optimization, incident investigation, and root cause analysis of instrumentation and control systems and related process issues Develop process control applications utilizing Allen Bradley, Emerson DeltaV, General Electric iFix, etc.
Develop electrical and instrumentation specifications to ensure proper installation of automated systems, and documented Automation Standards to ensure consistent implementation of control system Instrumentation, networking, and programming across all sites and processes Provide training of site personnel regarding installation and maintenance of hardware, configuration of software, and start-up of automation systems, including documentation of the process control systems to aid the sites in their training of additional personnel Make recommendations on upgrades of existing electrical, controls and mechanical components /equipment as new technology dictates and identify strengths and weaknesses of current equipment Coordinate process control system integration between Manufacturing management, R&T, IT, and the control system vendor(s) Provide on-site programming for plant automation systems at plant sites, including process control systems and development of standard practices to improve plant productivity and consistency Perform programming, design, installation and lifecycle management of manufacturing process controls, automation and field instrumentation technologies To be successful, you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline; Any combination of relevant experience & education will also be considered Hands on experience with the following: Troubleshooting of industrial instrumentation and controls using electrical test instrumentation and tools Process Control Systems integration with Distributed Control Systems; Emerson DeltaV preferred Design of control system architectures, and administration of control computers, networks, and communications Implementing advance control strategies for process optimization Reading and Producing Control System Documentation: electrical one-line drawings, cable schedules, functional descriptions, I/O lists, control scheme, electrical and maintenance schematics/blueprints etc.
Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills Work schedule flexibility to support 24/7 operations, including occasional after-hours support Ability to operate safely in a manufacturing environment; this may include, but is not limited to potentially lifting up to 20 lbs.
