Location Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Job Summary Responsible for managing art handling, exhibit preparation, and maintenance of collection items for the Zuckerman Museum of Art.
Supervises maintenance of collections or installation of exhibitions and assists with display cases and matting and framing.
Works with curators, registrars, designers, and students to organize and complete exhibition productions and installations within accepted standards of museum practices.
Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.
Ensures proper handling and display of loans and collection items 2.
Consults with registrar team regarding presentation methods for loaned and collection objects 3.
Interfaces with curators and outside vendors for production of exhibition signage, labels and printed materials 4.
Plans, circulates, and implements production schedules for exhibition cycle 5.
Works with curators to produce exhibit plans, layouts, and elevations 6.
Maintains inventory of supplies and materials for exhibit installations and manages equipment/resource inventories 7.
Works with registration team to manage fine-art storage facilities and assist with permanent collection projects 8.
Plans, orders and installs exhibit labels and vinyl 9.
Handles production orders for materials and services 10.
Maintains collections storage spaces and exhibition spaces 11.
Handles inquiries for information via telephone, voicemail, written correspondence, and email Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field Required Experience Two (2) years of experience in museums, archives or related field Preferred Qualifications Preferred Educational Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities ABILITIES Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines Able to manipulate heavy and/or large objects, handle art and climb ladders Able to be a highly driven, flexible, self-motivated and independent worker KNOWLEDGE Knowledge of AAM (American Association of Museums) best practice standards SKILLS Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.
e.

Background Check Standard Enhanced Education MVR 9 Panel Drug Screen Per the University System of Georgia background check policy, all final candidates will be required to consent to a criminal background investigation.
