WFI Material Handler

Experience: Previous manufacturing and inventory control experience preferred.
Forklift experience is necessary.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Forklift certification (stand up and sit down) Computer literate Good verbal and written communication and organizational skills Detail oriented Effective time management WORKING ENVIRONMENT: May have occasional exposure to chemical hazards, hot surfaces or noise that may result from the performance of duties.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Some lifting will be required at times that may range from 5 lbs.
to 100 lbs.
Requires use of both hands with occasional repetitive hand movements.
Visual acuity is required for reading and computer work.
Bending, stooping, stair climbing, reaching, and squatting may be required at various degrees.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Recognize and follow all safety and environmental initiatives at Winpak Films Inc.
Load scrap in a timely manner to prevent detention fees from carriers Ensure all scrap tickets are taken to the production control coordinator in a timely manner Unload newly purchased pallets in a timely manner to prevent detention fees from the carrier Ensure there are no newly purchased pallets outside overnight Maintain set levels of certain pallets in the west pallet storage area Ensure practices and housekeeping are following IMS requirements Maintain warehouse/storage organization and cleanliness Maintain item accuracy in warehouse and storage areas Ensure segregation of material as directed from the Inventory Control Supervisor Conduct periodic cycle counts as requested, report results Assist with other deliveries as requested Assist in End-of-Month inventory counts Cross-functional member of the Materials Department Other duties assigned by the Inventory Control Supervisor or Logistics Manager See the supplemental listing of individual tasks
