86]] Job Description Job Title: Materials Process Lead Report To: SCUPP Materials Manager Location: Carrollton - SCUPP Shift: A, B, C, D – 12 hr.
Swing Shift Summary: Provide process support for manufacturing in an assigned area or areas within a facility.
Responsibilities will include problem solving and special expertise in technical areas relating to any specific manufacturing process or multiple process as deemed appropriate.
Additionally, this individual will work directly with operators, supervisors and plant leadership to assist.
Assignments can be of a broad nature and require considerable judgment, ingenuity, and mechanical aptitude.
Typically, this position will require 80+ percent of duties to be on the production floor (non-office environment).
Description of Duties and Responsibilities: • Monitor daily inventory demand and help analyze trends to support procedural supply trends.
• Ensuring product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from internal and external customers.
• Use Advaris and SAP software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory and track inventory by work center.
• Develop process to improve material flow at SCUPP to support 100% production plan attainment.
• Ability to learn planning process and function as back up resource for the production planner.
• Make autonomous decisions regarding machine lines ups in the abscess of the production planner.
• Participate as needed in Lean activities, Kaizen events, Problem Solving events, SMED, VSM events.
Responsible for executing actions developed from Kaizens and reviewing WIP levels to keep obsolete inventory at acceptable levels.
• Target process improvement initiatives, working with process owners and project team members through all phases of planning, implementation, and control.
• Responsible for executing transactional process improvements within the Advaris system and manufacturing plant.
• Responsible for executing cycle counting process during the month and during month end inventory process.
• Identify flow disruptors and execute on process flow improvements.
• Assist Leadership in identifying training needs of individuals in the assigned areas.
• Analyze daily inventory supply by location to prevent shortages and keep equipment supplied with proper material needed to improve throughput.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements: • Preferred 3+ years of experience and working knowledge of manufacturing equipment and process.
Bachelor’s degree or associate degree is a plus.
• Must have the ability and aspiration to move into production planner role with 2-3 years.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Powerpoint and experience with SAP, Advaris preferred.
• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must demonstrate high level of mechanical aptitude.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities along with outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills required.
