1985 BMW airhead.
I picked this up from the estate of someone who had multiple BMWs, no title, but it's an 85 so can still be registered in the state of Georgia with t22b form and bill of sale.
I bought it to make into a cafe racer or scrambler looking bike, the son and grandson of the original owner had already removed the fairing as that was also their intent.
I have the fairing and all pieces as far as I know.
The good:
New Valeo starter, new battery, new plugs, carbs rebuilt.
Bike starts and runs, cylinders beautiful inside looking through the plug hole.
Rear brake works, shifts through all gears.
Exhaust headers are in fairly good shape.
The bad:
Clutch needs to be adjusted, front brakes need to be bled, tires are both dry rotted, one lower choke cable is broken, mufflers are rotted.
These are fantastic bikes.
This price is good for a running example.
Keep the fairing or remove it and make custom.
Price is firm.
No trades unless it's cash plus a non running bike.
