What You'll Do:
The Discovery & Litigation Manager will focus on fact finding and preparing responses to discovery (incoming subpoenas, interrogatories, document requests) as well as provide high level paralegal support in federal and state court or regulatory/agency matters throughout the country including small claims, large commercial, OSHA or environmental, and employment matters.
The Discovery & Litigation Manager will defend and manage small claims independently.
Conduct initial review of, prepare written responses to, and gather and produce documents in response to requests for information and/or subpoenas, communicate directly with the requesting party's counsel regarding responses
Provide primary legal support to Claims Group and directly negotiate small claims
Manage various litigation workflows from beginning to end (e.
g.
, open new matters in matter management system, draft engagement letters to outside counsel, support in-house counsel’s legal hold process (including identify custodians for legal hold notices, prepare legal hold notices, release legal hold notices when matters close), and close matters)
Provide high level paralegal support in federal and state courts or agencies throughout the country including large commercial, regulatory, agency, small claims, and employment matters
Assist in factual investigation of claims, and litigation matters by identifying and requesting relevant documents, scheduling, participating in, and taking detailed notes during interviews with key witnesses, and conducting appropriate follow up

What Experience You Need:
8+ years of progressively responsible litigation management experience acquired with a large law firm, litigation boutique, and/or in-house legal department
Associate degree or bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
Heavy demonstrated experience with enterprise legal management applications
Substantive knowledge of Motion and Discovery Practice to include e-Discovery and legal hold processes
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft O365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CounselLInk (or other matter management platform e.
g.
, Serengeti), and SharePoint
