The Designer II (Interiors) actively participates in project Design and production across all phases from start to finish, by performing a wide range of interior Design assignments as required.
Under the direction of a Licensed Interior Designer or Registered Architect, the Designer II is responsible for participation in the Discovery and Design process including assisting with programming, test fitting, space planning, presentation materials, furnishings, and finish selections, followed by being part of a team responsible for the production of complete, accurate, well-coordinated construction documents, and construction administration deliverables.
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Interior Design program with Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree.
2-5+ years’ experience in a Commercial Interior Design setting.
Experience with “workplace interiors”, and tenant interior applications, preferred.
Demonstrated ability to produce high quality Designs, presentations, and construction drawings.
Demonstrated competency with required computer software; including a high-level knowledge of Autodesk Revit and Adobe Photoshop and/or InDesign.
Ability to make Design and documentation decisions requiring discretion and good judgement.
A motivated self-starter, with proven ability to work with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities: Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Demonstrate strong collaboration and communication skills with the Client and Design team.

Adhere to both Cooper Carry and the Client guidelines and meet deadlines for each project.
Demonstrate Interior Design skills including Designing, drawing, rendering, and presentation skills utilizing internal resources.
Collaborate in the Design process from start to finish.
Research and select finishes/materials, colors, and furnishings.
Demonstrate an understanding of building systems, codes, and construction methods.
Prepare and produce Design drawings, and construction documents for projects of varying complexity.
Provide Contract Administration assistance as required.
Inform Project Team Leaders of potential project opportunities Learn and maintain knowledge of Cooper Carry projects and resources.
Complete research as needed.
Promote a collaborative team environment.
Contribute as required to the overall quality and success of the project, studio, and firm.
Work to become a licensed Interior Designer.
Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
