Responsibilities include: Drive technology innovations at the intersection of application, software and hardware architecture; Lead result-oriented and disciplined Research and Development on new system level innovations spanning HW/SWnterfaces for new architecture proposals, large-scale distributed computing, orchestration software, optimization, and beyond; Develop/influence/drive the HW-SW architecture co-design, strategy, roadmap and plans for high potential technologies which may cut across segments (e.
g.
, in ML/AI applications, datacenter/cloud, network infrastructure and client).
An ideal candidate would have deep familiarity with at least one or more of the following: ML/AI, operating system, system architecture, computer architecture, datacenter/cloud architecture and platforms, network platforms/architecture, programming languages and runtime, workload scheduling, resource management and other relevant domains.
Hands-on familiarity with software development, at-scale workload deployment, and optimization with heterogeneous computing is preferred.
Behavioral Traits:
An ideal candidate should also have excellent communication, written and presentation skills.
This is an internship role and compensation will be given accordingly based on candidate education level and internship duration.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must be pursuing a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or in a relevant field.
6+ months experience in Below areas:
System Software, ML/AI, Architecture, Programming language and Analysis & Software Engineering

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Washington, California: $63,000.

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
