Your Day to Day: Job Summary – Combined direction of the business process and ecosystem enablement design provides a unified strategic lens to identify synergies in processes and opportunities for efficiency, which enable IHG to move fast in the delivery of RM Product functionality to our business and the market.
Develop, manage and own the processes and methodologies for aligning the design of business processes and ecosystem integration which are impacted, or brought to life, by new Revenue Management Product functionality.
Develop business cases and value stories to drive results for the upcoming releases based on the joint strategic and ecosystem roadmap, functionality-based ROI calculations and incremental ecosystem estimated costs.
Lead teams, including direct reports, to design how the business will enable new capabilities and how the systems will support those processes, communicating all new ways of working and functionality to be embedded into training and implemented to the business.
Lead the process to align with ecosystem and strategy stakeholders to identify impacts and opportunities, of upcoming RM product functionality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities – General: Develop and manage the long-term hotel/channel release planning process and joint strategic and ecosystem roadmap.
Develop and manage the process, in collaboration with RM Strategy, for developing future release business cases and value stories to support gaining leadership buy-in and funding of the new capability roll-out.
Manage key stakeholder relationships across strategy and ecosystem organizations, generally at the band 5 and above level.
Establish job scope and goals, performance standards, and operating procedures for direct reports, participating in the creation discussions of department staffing and capital budgets.
Coach and develop team members; support training and mentoring plans, assess skillset fit, document performance, recommend salary or title changes.
For GRS increments: Lead the collection, summarization and delivery of the business’ key inputs to the product design and test scenario drafting efforts in the increment planning periods, to support the Product Management and UAT teams.
Managing the joint ecosystem meetings and processes (RIA) to understand break-fix requirements and cost estimates.
For Hotel/Channel Releases: Managing the methodologies and delivery of business process design to support the enablement of new capabilities and system functionality, including: The identification of process and product gaps, then initiating the process to solution those gaps with the relevant product owners.
The delivery of artifacts including the process design, business rules, relevant system or training content, and workflows to sister teams, including change management, training, reporting, UAT, and implementation.
Manage the process to collect ecosystem requirements and cost estimates for relevant products, crucial in the enablement of new functionality in alignment with the release roll-out plan.
Managing the process to define the roll-out plan for releases (some functionality will expand over time) What We Need From You: Education – Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Business, Information Systems, or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experienced.
Experience – 8-10+ years progressive work-related experience, with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/ technologies/ processes related to the position including Product Management, Revenue Management, Process or Product Design, or Strategy and Planning, as well as 5-7 years managing teams and/or significant complex projects.
Technical skills and Knowledge – Demonstrated deep knowledge and understanding in a specific area of expertise which will encompass one or more of the following: Product – refers to inventory, rates and availability Revenue Management – refers to traditional RM practices of forecasting, yield, and pricing recommendations based on complex mathematical modeling, revenue/profit optimization Sales & Distribution – includes all channel revenue delivery for both managed and unmanaged segments of the business Process Design & Improvement – includes audit and process assessment Data, Reporting & Business Intelligence – data analysis, performance measurement, revenue reporting, and strategic business planning Guest Service Delivery – includes working knowledge of hotel operational environment including both on and above property.
Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information or collaborating with colleagues, vendors, senior management and/or staff.
Demonstrated ability to present new concepts, research findings, and business outcomes to various groups including corporate clients, senior management, potential vendors, and industry consultants.
Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning and executing projects from conception through implementation.
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks/clients required.
Demonstrated experience in detailed product development discovery, documentation, and design work.
Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to perform research and use the results of analysis to make effective strategic decisions.
Demonstrated hotel industry knowledge reflecting the entire customer experience lifecycle (reservations – stay – ongoing relationship management).
Demonstrated knowledge of travel distribution channels (web, CRO, GDS, or TPI) and reservations sales “building blocks”.
Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) required Demonstrated ability to adapt tactics and strategies to fast moving, rapidly evolving marketplace required Experience in formal requirements methodologies such as vision, scope, context, use cases, etc.

Synthesizes product requirements at a summary level to the business strategy inputs, to ensure the business process and vision remain supported.
This position has the authority to flag deviations from the project plan and strategic vision for functionality use.
This position assists in determining the resourcing needs, budget, and strategy and objectives for their team.
This position measures the effectiveness and timeliness of artifacts and has the authority to adjust processes and approaches where necessary.
Internal Key Relationships Manages relationships for strategic inputs to the business process design and product ecosystem impact and cost estimate inputs across the organizations: Global Brands & Marketing, Channels, Revenue Management, Loyalty, Global Sales, Global Technology, Global Owner Solutions & Technology, and Regional Operational representatives.
Typically consults with Band 5 and above to for strategic decision and inputs to process design and often facilitates VP level forums to push high level critical decisions.
Physical Requirements: Majority of work is performed in a normal office environment in a hybrid model.
