Work you'll do/Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Consultant to join our team as an AS400 Developer.
In this role, you will primarily focus on enhancing the current AS400 legacy ERP application (IBS).
This ERP application integrates with other ERP in the complex application environment including SAP.
Your responsibilities will include understanding client requirements, developing the technical specifications, development, testing and deployment of code.
Implement and maintain solutions using AS400 with possible integration to other environments using Kafka and Apigee.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data models into existing systems and applications
Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights for improving data architecture and processes
Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and stakeholders on data modeling and integration issues
Ensure compliance with data governance policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements
Continuously evaluate and recommend enhancements to data management processes and tools to optimize performance and efficiency.
Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management
Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes

Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
7+ years with AS400 development methods and high level understanding of business processes including OTC, P2P
7+ years working with data structures using AS400
Design and develop incremental enhancements to current business processes in IBS ERP (AS400 application).
7+ years working with integration projects
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred
Previous consulting experience in data modeling and integration projects
Certification in relevant technologies (e.
g.
, AS400 and integration technologies)
Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools
Analytical/ Decision Making Responsibilities
Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products
Can operate independently or with minimum supervision
Excellent Written and Communication Skills
Ability to deliver technical demonstrations
