The FTU GTKM engineering team at Mailchimp is crucial because it is responsible for the development and maintenance of Account onboarding experience.
We have a long list of innovative new projects involving Generative AI on the horizon and are looking for a Software Engineer II to help us deliver them.
You can expect to develop new and existing features with a cross-functional team of product managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
You will collaborate with others to optimize our development process and product.
Intuit Mailchimp is a hybrid workplace, giving employees the opportunity to collaborate in person with team members in our New York and Atlanta offices two or more days per week.
What you'll bring You have 2 or more years of experience building and operating large web applications and extensive experience working within large-scale development environments.
You are as comfortable working with and improving upon legacy systems and code as you are building new features and applications.
You have strong communication and collaboration skills.
You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a software development environment, with capability in backend development.
You have experience developing new and enhancing existing features as well as investigating and resolving defects.
You adhere to internal coding standards, development processes, and design best practices.
You ensure quality by maintaining unit test coverage, performing thorough testing, and leveraging peer reviews for your work and the work of others.
You have experience with React JS, PHP and preferably AWS or GCP.
Bonus: experience with Python, Playwright and automated testing.
How you will lead You’ll write and maintain scalable, efficient, highly tested code for the Mailchimp application.
You’ll work with product and engineering team members to build features from concept through implementation.
You'll develop and enhance new and existing features as well as investigate and resolve defects.
You’ll participate in our on-call rotation for the Mailchimp application You'll remain up-to-date on evolving tools and patterns for managing infrastructure and guiding our implementation of them when necessary.
You'll help scope, estimate, and prioritize work.
