REQUIREMENT- Must be a US Citizen and must pass a federal background review and drug screen
Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform architectural design review in support of construction management activities related to government buildings and air force base facilities with experience with in acoustic/sound enclosures, life safety/emergency egress, building envelope, and all other related construction application.
Provide construction submittal review and responses to requests for information (RFI).
Participates in design reviews of and provides comments on contractor submittals and plans.
Provides quality assurance oversight, documentation of such oversight, and recommends corrective actions.
Experience with 3-Phase QC/Inspection process and EM 385-1-1.
Assists in interpreting and enforcing contractual provisions regarding contractor architectural requirements and deliverables
Documents and provides reports regarding contractor progress toward accomplishing contractual scopes of work and recommends authorization of progress payments
Perform field investigations of existing facilities as required to accomplish assigned tasks.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
A minimum of 10 years as an architect on large complex multimillion dollar federal (Department of Defense, preferred) construction projects
Registered Architect (RA) license
US Army Corps of Engineering (USACE) or other federal project experience, preferred
Experience with acoustic/sound enclosures, life safety/emergency egress, building envelope, and all other related construction application.
Experience with USACE's 3-Phase QC/Inspection process and EM 385-1-1
Experience working at the Patrick Space Force Base, preferred
Experience using RMS 3.

Ability to manage projects throughout the planning, design, and construction document phases, performing calculations, design drafting, reviewing of construction submittals, responding to requests for information, etc.
