Responsibilities Design and develop highly scalable, secure, reliable and composable services and components.
Prototype and iterate on new components and and customer-innovation focused features.
Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to understand user requirements.
Use product development proven practices and deliver on scale and performance requirements Contribute to continuous improvements, including metrics & test automation of deliverables.
Maintain operations of live service as issues arise on a rotational, on-call basis.
Verify service architecture meets security and compliance requirements and expectations.
Mentoring and coaching of earlier-in-career peers and team members.
Qualifications Required/Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience coding in one of these languages: C#, Java or Python OR equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience building highly available and resilient services on one of the following public cloud platforms: Azure, AWS or GCP 2+ years of experience with designing globally scalable, secure, and compliant (cloud) services.
Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications: Experienced with technical design, problem solving and debugging Experience with React (or similar) development and building great user experiences Experience monitoring, testing and supporting online services Experience with building services in regulated industries such as FSI, Defense & Security or Public Sector Interest in improving engineering systems & practices and creation of high quality software Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.
S.
is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
