Meet Our Team As part of Value Management Office, Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE) promotes shift-left approach and provides standardized process and tools to enhance quality of applications for various WBD brands.
We work closely with our brand partners and act as a center of expertise, best practice, and continuous improvement in the field of quality engineering.
Quality is owned by the entire team.
SETs are the frontline owners of quality processes, including the process of development, testing, and delivery.
As Sr.
Staff Software Engineer in Test in TCoE, you will be responsible for ensuring software quality using efficient and reliable test automation.
The ideal candidate has built multiple stable, scalable, and reliable automated suites that have been running successfully in production environment and provides extensive quality benefits.
Additionally, we are looking for a QE leader who cares about user experience and has passion for quality, learning, and collaboration.
Responsibilities Uphold and champion best practices and cultivate a culture that is committed to quality through test automation.
Define and drive overall test strategy and provide technical leadership and guidance.
Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks, tools, and strategies for comprehensive test coverage.
Lead project(s) and phases of testing cycles, from planning, test development, execution through deployment ensuring the application meets quality standard.
Staying updated on the latest testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices to continuously improve testing process.
Work across multiple teams to drive technical solutions and influence decisions and outcomes.
Identify and resolve complex technical challenges related to software testing including diagnosing and debugging intricate issues.
Guide the day-to-day work of other engineers.
Coach and mentor up to Staff SET level and provide input to leadership on development needs and growth opportunities for team members.
Models an inclusive and supportive engineering culture.
Skill and Experience 10+ years of relevant experience.
Has proven ability to support quality product releases by orchestrating automation coverage as appropriate.
Solid experience with a variety of test automation frameworks Solid experience in one or more programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, etc.
Working knowledge of debugging tools and CI/CD process.
Requires conceptual thinking to understand complex issues and implications.
Exercises independent judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results which may impact the division.
Strong knowledge and experience in multiple test types including unit, functional, integration, API, load and performance tests.
Strong understanding of digital product development for web, mobile, ott, and backend infrastructure.
Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience with common software/testing tools such as Github, Jenkins, Charles Proxy, Postman, BrowserStack, etc.
Experience in the media/entertainment space is a nice to have.
