Repair Technician

What You’ll Do: Disassemble and evaluate incoming blower, compressors and other Aerzen products, diagnose and recommend action, complete machine repairs, prepare reports and communicate actions as needed.
Your Accountabilities in the Role: Performs all work in accordance with quality standards and safety procedures and maintains a clean, safe work area.
Performs safe practices in utilizing hand tools, power tools, machine rigging, and shop equipment; Demonstrates and utilizes good mechanical skills, an understanding of rotating equipment and knowledge of proper and safe usage of mechanic’s tools and shop equipment.
Disassembles, assesses damage, and evaluates failures on Positive Displacement blowers, High Vacuum blowers, Delta Hybrid Blowers and Compressors.
Provides recommendations on the actions and parts required to complete the reassembly of the machine.
Reads, understands and uses equipment diagrams, checklists, engineering drawings, and other process documentation to disassemble, and assemble 3 lobe PD blowers and vacuum blowers.
Prepares a written repair report to document cause of failure, description of work performed, materials consumed, condition of equipment as received and as returned to customer.
Diagnoses problems with Aerzen machines by evaluating material condition and asking the customer questions; demonstrates the ability to offer machine-based recommendations; can identify the root cause of a machine failure.
As required, perform equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs and/or PM service on customer equipment onsite; Represent Aerzen in professional and courteous manner following all Aerzen and customer safety requirements.
Trains new employees on essential job functions Participates in departmental initiatives such as inventory counts, shop organization and clean-up.
Requirements: Education: High School Diploma (GED) Required Experience: 3+ years of experience related to mechanical, rotating equipment and/or engineer repair Computer Skills: MS Office skills required; Business Center/Navision management software skills preferred.
Certifications: Welding Certification (brazing, cutting, welding, plasma).
Forklift Certification.
Functional Skills: Ability to use regularly a forklift, ladder, hand/power tools, digital equip, welding equip.

, measuring tools, and pallet jacks.
