The purpose of an Embedded Engineer is to develop Embedded Software for in-building communications systems that provide continuous and critical in-building radio coverage in challenging environments to improve the safety of first responders and building occupants.
The role is in an R&D and office environment.
Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards: Execute and delivers the assigned product/parts developments.
Be a part of an Agile Team following the agile methodologies.
Ensure that the products developed comply with the norms / standards / regulations relevant to each type.
Collaborate on the homologation / certification processes required in the applicable markets to obtain the corresponding certificates.
Ensure that the products developed comply with the "good techniques" that allow their serial production, as well as the efficient use of stock.
Ensure that products are developed according to the "good art of engineering": with the highest quality, the best technology, the highest performance and the lowest direct production cost.
Being in the current of the "state of the art" of the different technologies that must be used in the different products.
Documentation of the executed tasks.
Ensure the perfect coordination with the rest of the Agile teams.
MUST HAVE 2 years' embedded software development Bachelor’s degree C Programming Language.
Experience working with microcontrollers.
Software and Hardware Debugging skills.
Bare metal programming.
Bring-up boards and preliminary HW debugging.
Experience working with HW peripherals and external device via i2c, spi, rs485, uart, usb.
Availability to travel if required upon request.
Confidentiality on the activities carried out in the R&D department.
We Value Experience with RTOS is a plus.
Can read and understand hardware schematics.
Experience using of tools like Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Protocol Analyzers, Multimeters.
Experience in Unit testing is a plus.
Basic knowledge of encryption concepts is a plus.
Can work alone or as part of a team.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.
Highly organized and with a profile of commitment to achievement.
Familiar with DecOps, DevSecOps.
