Responsibilities:
This person will define automated system requirements for proprietary software and/or database applications through analysis of end user needs, business structure, policies, and operations.
Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing cost effective technical systems and procedures.
Communicates with end users of proprietary software and/or other internal departments to identify, analyze, and define business requirements for automated systems.
Defines optimal software enhancements by writing functional and technical design specifications; develops technical documentation, functional user interface prototypes, and diagrams.
Communicates end user feedback and provides technical expertise to development and quality assurance teams to refine design specifications.
Analyzes system architecture and data structure to evaluate proposed software enhancements.
Coordinates and executes design validation testing to ensure business requirements have been met.
Conducts software demonstrations for end users and other internal departments and addresses questions and concerns regarding the existing logic of software modules.
Requirements:
BS in Computer Science with 3-4 years of experience as a Software Design Analyst: design software solutions while working with both customers and programmers to translate business needs into technical requirements.
Proficiency in COBOL, SQL, PL/SQL, Web Service, Word, and Excel
