Working Broan-Nutone S80U-A Shower Fan.
This model was installed in millions of homes in the early 2000s, but they no longer make replacement parts.
It's 20 years old but it works perfectly and might be the part you need if your shower fan motor burns out.
I thought mine was broken because even though it spun and cleared air from the shower, I started hearing a noise.
I looked everywhere for a replacement motor because I didn't want to replace the whole thing, and saw dozens of threads on the Internet looking for this part.
You can't find it on eBay or any of the spare parts retailers because it's so sought after.
I ended up replacing the entire shower fan box only to turn the new one on and hear the exact same noise.
Turns out I had a really long drain line that had some water collected in it causing the sound and had nothing to do with the fan.
I replaced my whole fan for nothing.
But I'm not going to reinstall this one now that I've done the hard work of putting a new one in, and I can't be bothered to deal with shipping on eBay.
So if you want to, buy this and turn around and sell it on eBay.
The motor itself sells for $52.

You could get more for the whole thing.
