Your New Role… The Ad Sales Operational Senior Finance Manager, will be responsible for the financial analysis, monthly cash forecasting and pacing, strategic planning and reporting goals related to the Ad Sales collections business.
This role will also act as a trusted advisor and strategic financial operations partner to Sales, providing astute solutions to invoice discrepancies with the intent of improving working capital and decreasing DSO.
This position will collaborate with internal GBS OTC teams to deliver high quality financial reporting on monthly KPIs and cash targets.
To succeed in this role, you should be an excellent communicator, able to work with sales and marketing teams and build rapport with customers as well as being a strategic thinker with an analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills.
Your Role Accountabilities… Produce monthly cash forecast and pacing analysis and provide strategic guidance to OTC and Senior Sales Management on how to achieve monthly targets to improve working capital and drive DBO improvement Participate in weekly and monthly key stakeholder meetings providing updates on agency payment statuses, invoice discrepancy statuses and cash pacing analysis Deliver data driven analysis to Senior Sales Management including key financial metrics to support contract negotiation conversations and identify business risks and opportunities Serves as a trusted advisor and financial resource expert regarding customer issues impacting payment delays, coordinating prompt resolution to complex customer issues by partnering with Sales and Collection teams Drive continuous process improvement within the Ad Sales order-to-cash organization, and ensure all policies and processes are efficient and aligned with business objectives Make recommendations to Sales and OTC Leadership on optimization of current billing and collection processes and procedures with the intent of improving collections and decreasing DSO Support ad hoc strategic projects by collecting and analyzing data, creating meaningful strategic recommendations, and communicating them concisely to senior leadership Qualifications & Experience… Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or related field is required.
Extensive experience (8+ years) in accounting, finance, business development, or sales.
Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and using financial software tools Aptitude for fostering positive relationships Excellent communication, effective listening, presentation, and critical thinking skills Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and using financial software tools Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, High Radius, SAP, Sales Force and other relevant tools Experience working closely with senior-level management Ability to develop, prioritize and accomplish goals Strong interpersonal skills and high level of professionalism High level of experience preparing and leading presentations Excellent teamwork and leadership skills How We Get Things Done… This last bit is probably the most important!
