Summary of the role:
A Bi-Lingual (Fluent Spanish) Collections Representative is responsible for a variety of duties in support of the Premium Accounting Department.
Overall responsibility includes, but is not limited to, processing insurance premiums, providing customer and agency support, collections and maintaining customer accounts according to departmental standards.
What would be your day in the life at Builders?
Handle customer service inquiries from agents and insureds on active and delinquent accounts
Handle all aspects including, but not limited to, researching disputes, reviewing audits, reviewing aged reports, processing cancellations and preparing correspondence.
Coaching policyholders on policy requirements of audit and Certificate maintenance.
Review and process cancellation reinstatement requests due to non-payment of premium
Assist with all areas of the Premium Accounting process
Generate and send invoices, Audit detail, and policy support on all assigned policies
Accurately key payments and workflow notes into the appropriate computer system
Send late notices on delinquent accounts using proper protocol in a timely manner
Process cancellations/reinstatements on non-renewals, membership and agency cancellations
Review Diary and Suspense on a daily basis
Set up and monitor discretionary pay plan schedules to company standards
Review refund packets for receivable recovery or approve for disbursement
Coach customer base (policyholders, agents, internal users) on website utilization
Timely and professional response of Emails and Voicemails in accordance with departmental standards
Manage Time Card within company guidelines
What skills will you need to be the best candidate?
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
Bachelor’s Degree a plus.
Fluent speaking and writing skills in Spanish
One or more year’s accounting experience in accounts receivable
One or more year’s customer service experience
Ability to learn new software programs
Ability to work under pressure and on deadlines
Excellent customer service skills
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Strong Microsoft Office skills
