This Recruitment is Open to the Public The Georgia Department of Revenue seeks to fill a Tax Examiner 1 position in the Motor Vehicle Division.
Reporting to the Tax Examiner Supervisor, you will be responsible for reviewing various registration applications for completeness and compliance with federal and state requirements & communicating with internal and external customers on the status of pending applications and registrations via electronic and in-person interactions.
Entry Qualifications Associates degree in Accounting, or related area from an accredited college or university ~ OR one year of job-related experience Required Skills & Experience · Customer Service: Ability to appropriately address customer issues while respecting business needs · Teamwork and Cooperation: Ability to promote the team atmosphere and work well with fellow team members and leadership · Judgment and Decision Making: Ability to use proper judgment in selecting which issues to handle or re-direct · Accountability: Ability to accept responsibility for one’s actions with honesty and integrity, while maintaining credibility and remaining committed to organizational success · Results Orientation: Ability to meet deadlines and achieve performance goals, while focused on efficient and effective problem resolution Preferred Qualifications · Work-related experience using and/or providing instruction for an online registration system · Work-related experience receiving and responding to emails Position Status & Pay Grade: Unclassified – Pay Grade F Hiring Range: $29,519.
